As always this was an honor and a pleasure, and I enjoyed reading all of these clues, like the hiddens by simplesimon @15 and buddy @8, the rather baroque subtractive by simplesimon @18, the acronym by fiery @21… Well really, I liked all of them. I loved mattrom @3 but am going with her entry @16:
