8a Controlling business, what good person's doing for Scot? (7,7), and 12a Land splits at that tropical island (6). The answers look like Holding company and Tobago, but I can't parse them?

Hi Bassett, both correct. In 8a, ST (saint, good person) is holding CO (company). In 12a, it’s BAG (verb to land) as in TOO (at that, as well)
