Priest left by chopper, dropping PC here? HELIPORT

I can't fully parse this and I may well be barking up another tree. I have ELI for "priest" and PORT for "left", but can't justify the H and don't see how PC in the wordplay works. Pretty sure that I'm being dim.

It’s a strange clue, bobby. The way I made it work was to drop copper (PC) from chopper, leaving H, + ELI + PORT. But unusual to remove all bar one letter, for sure

Heli is a variant of Eli I believe, so a biblical priest. I suppose a PC might be an example of someone dropped here, but that seems a bit random?
