Is there also an error at one across? I need an A but the wordplay gives me an E as the extra letter. Hope that somebody still has a copy🙂

First word of the hint from the extras is ENTER so the E is correct.

An extra 'e' (from 'cu[e]') is right for 1a.

Thanks both. That's a huge DOH from me. I had inadvertently noted an F instead of an N for the extra at 6 across, and was looking to justify the word AFTER for the first of the message. Definitely had the blinkers on!!
