Nice one from vismut, all finished apart from the final step. The category of entities to be highlighted is very limited - 4 only, as far as google suggests - none of which, needless to say, can be located. A hint of where it might be located would not go amiss (or the direction: N, SW etc.)

You'll find it running between your changed entries.

A thoroughly enjoyable puzzle from Vismut. That the title is an anagram is a nice touch. Cockie, the highlighting is in the usual diagonal.

Thanks to Vismut for a very satisfying solve. The consistency of the thematic twist through each stage felt very well-engineered. Overall challenging but not too taxing for my Covid-addled brain.

Still trying to complete this one. Can anyone help, please?

1a) Jolly vulgar Cockney miserable, so gets ignored (4) A?R?

2d) Bishop grabbing a cold one in the heat? (5) ?AC?R

There maybe a letter missing from wordplay, an extra word to be deleted from the clue or the answer might be anagrammed.
Thank you

Take 'so' from the front of a 5 letter word for 'miserable' - one letter is unclued.
The usual 2 letter abbrev for 'bishop' is on the outside - one letter is unclued ('heat' isn't the warm kind).

2. Racer, one in the heat, event. RR, bishop, Right Reverend, with A C, a cold inside.
I've missed out details on missing, extra letters, words..

Agreed - The Listener and IQ set the bar pretty this week but Vismut more than held her own - an excellent puzzle:-)
