I thought this might be an anagram of 'posse sets', but can't make it fit. I came up with "possessed", which does fit - but can't quite see where it comes from!

PS. After not visiting for ages, it's nice to see the familiar names still on the board :-)

to be possessed is to be taken over by the devil or any Demon - hence Demented.
