26d Free link needing it to be rasied (5)

Is this 'untie'? I can see the reversed 'it', but what is 'une'? Google and online dictionary are no help.

Strange clue because the ‘it’ isn’t being raised, it’s staying in the same place but reversed. You could say the letter t is being raised but that’s not what the clue is telling you to do.

I agree the clue doesn’t quite work like that, as to raise is not the same as to invert, but ‘t is in the dictionary as a shortened form of it, (as in ‘twas) so maybe the clue works like that, though it’s more suited to the Listener than the Jumbo
