I was completely absorbed by this excellent puzzle .
There is only one I have not yet parsed - the little 36d , but will put it aside and return to it later

Very enjoyable and more challenging than normal from this compiler.

I really enjoyed this one- a bit of test after some of the easier offerings of recent weeks.

36d is in "Chambers"- an anagram of a common abbreviation for the day when the "Speccie" is published.

Very good - Cheese Cracker has gone up in my estimation!
