21a "Isn't going to have to cross unknown slum area" (10).

This is a parsing query. The solution appears to be "shantytown" but I'm struggling to find the second "t". I assume that "Isn't going to have" gives us "shan't own" and "to cross unknown" directs us to put a "y" inside it. But where do we get the second "t" from? Now I know that "cross" can indicate a "t" but this has surely already been utilised as just described. Can anyone tell me what I've missed, please?

isn't going to = shan't
y = unknown
have = own

Thanks again Jazzgirl. Being a Yorkshireman, I should have worked that one out!

I think it would have to be the first "t" though, as it would need to come before "own" to make "town". So "to have" would then be "t'own". The only trouble with this is that "shan't" would have to be represented by simply "isn't going", which doesn't sound quite right. Ah well.

This has been a real slog today. I'm stuck in the top right corner with these three interconnecting clues:-
10 Across - "Mass of paper - missing rupees - held in band" (7)
I have R---I-M, and can only think of RHODIUM or REALISM.
6 Across - "Draw in incomplete circle, following revolving target" (5)
I have --c-s.
Because of the gaps here, I have no letters towards:-
6 Down - "Lists of things answered in message overheard" (4)
