Enjoyable puzzle this month but yet again I'm unclear about the 'rules' for submitting the answers on the entry form. I'm assuming that the word count given on the form means that we submit the 'unswapped' original answers rather than what is entered into the grid, but that seems to undermine the whole point of the crossword! I have emailed the Guardian about this before, asking if they could just add some clarification on the entry form, but I got no answer and nothing's changed so I wondered if anyone had any insights or help on this...? Thanks in advance

I entered the final grid entries on the basis that that is the only way to prove you’ve completed the puzzle correctly.
Do let us know if you get a response from the Guardian.

Thanks for the reply Jono. I emailed the Guardian in June as the puzzle for that month involved 'cycling' the answers and there was no way of knowing whether they wanted the original answer or the cycled word in the entry form. I found an address somewhere - guardian.crosswords@guardian.co.uk. I had no reply.

have come to this late, because abroad. I imagine the thematic word extracted from 25 must belong in 11? - though I can't find a definition of it in terms of the theme ... and that the thematic insert in 15 must come from 12 - though again I can't find a definition that fits 12, This may be because I'm away from my Chambers ...
