I recently discovered that Doc also sets the fiendish two - grid Guardian Bank holiday cryptic under the name Maskarade
(one of my favourites ) I wonder why his Spectator puzzles are so much easier.

Thanls for the Maskarade info, Jazzgirl. I didn't know that. Maybe all Doc's creative juices get used on those puzzles!

Jazzgirl, I shouldn't cast aspersions, but maybe he's spreading himself too thin?! I think I am more disappointed - with his Spectator puzzles - as I remember really enjoying those in the past. Some were quite inventive, creative etc.
