A weekend without the Listener (I don't do numericals) so a pleasure to work through AZED.

I can't parse 21 down. I can'r see where the 'cat' comes in. Any help welcome.

African 'cat' in what suggests a small square? (7). I know see the cat but the wordplay eludes me. Thanks
