Quisling, no problem, happy to give hints if anyone needs them.
Thanks for persevering, Mattrom!

Again, very much appreciated jono; I look forward to "tussling" this evening - Royal Ascot has to take precedence.

Hi Jono
I am giving this puzzle a miss as I don't have any idea on any of the clues, I will look forward to the solutions in due course

Not to worry Jazzgirl. Though if you do give it another go there are two straight anagrams (albeit with missing letters) and as Quisling hinted, 2 is much simpler than it seems (no physics involved!)

hi jono
I thought ‘ground’ was an anagram indicator but then was not not certain what to next, after I delete one letter. Do I add two identical letters ? If so I have a word but I think i am inventing my own rules

Hi jazzy
this one can only be missing one letter, as the total is 6 and cumin has 5. i could only come up with munich, though!

Got them all but #7. Given that I know the missing letter, if "beg endlessly" and "outskirts of Delhi" have their usual wordplay meanings, it seems like I should get it. But the number of synonyms for the theme (and for "beg") turns out to be vast, so....

#11 is a cruel clue, but fair (Piranha Brothers reference).
