Please explain the wordplay to 7ac (it gives an extra A):
Sack a sack for pin (4) ?ASH

Looks like CASK, are you sure about the H?

I have a K at the end of 9 A, for thematic reasons.

The H should be a K. I had a moment of madness when answering the thematic clue. Thank you.

What a contrast to this week’s Listener! This went down with a cup of tea, whereas I have been struggling with “Singles Only” since Friday and still don’t have anything in grid.

This is just what I needed to relax before I make my final assault on the Listener - not too demanding and an endgame and theme I'm very familiar with.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the last 8 letters in row 8 - is it a coincidence or a possible reference to the "signed release for a certified check of ......." obtained by 'unclued bottom row' as a result of 'phrase spelt by extra across letters'?

Could somebody please parse 4d - 'Weaken, not even in roulette' - for me ?

I have i_pair as the answer, so assume the first word of the clue is the definition.
