I've not got 15 either, but would it help if I said that Milliways is The restaurant at the end of the universe?

Nearly got to the end (of the Universe ?) ... apart from 8 & 9 !

Hi Tyke, thanks for persevering! The definition in 8 is in part carried over from the previous clue, so in full reads “printer’s material in Russian”. Wordplay is an anagram with one letter subtracted.
In 9, the references to “6” and “10” are not cross references to other clues. The definition is “vine-leaves by design”. They might be found at the beginning of ancient manuscripts as embellishments to the first letter.

That's frustrating on 9, jono - I assumed that was the case, but still couldn't come up with an answer! I suspect that I don't know the word....
