48 Brother as in “oh brother” but in Spanish. CAR A might be ‘first taxi maybe’ but I don’t see the rest (MBA)

I think it’s CARAMBA. You missed the “about” in the clue. So it’s CAB A about RAM. As Jono said, means O Brother in Spanish

Gooner, I too found parts of this tough. I disliked several of the clues, especially the 'Scottish actor' (dead for almost 50 years).

I found it very difficult although I think I have finished it. I am not clear on some of the parsing, most notably 3 down (all fashionable ladies hats eclipsed by suit, without a doubt). I would be grateful for enlightenment

ALL from the clue + 2 letter "fashionable" + 5 letter "hats" (unusual word) all inside a 6 letter (legal) "suit" minus the A

.... "ladies hats" I should have said.

Action, suit (law case), drop the A, without a. Ction.
