Hello - hoping for some help with 11 across !

Clue: Gunners wearing posh ties - some people chase them (8)

I think the answer might be rainbows - but I am not sure of the link between gunners and rain?

V grateful for any pointers :-)

RA = Royal Artillary, RA, + IN, wearing, + BOWS

RA - Royal Artillery, so gunners
In - posh
Bows, ties.

Some people chase ... Rainbows.

Mattrom, I originally had the same as you, but the 'posh' puzzled me - I realise now that the Bows are 'posh' ties.

... and Royal Artillery (to correct typo) are 'gunners'.
