Many thanks Patrick, I wasn’t expecting that one, much appreciated and a good challenge. Enjoyed the clips, Life of Brian never gets old, and Biggus Dickus has appeared in previous prizes as I recall. See you all next week if not before

Culmer, do you remember our recent discussion (on the Everyman thread I think) re solutions appearing in symmetrical grid positions which are anagrams of each other.. well, check out today’s Indy for the best example I’ve ever seen.
Geeker, I’m sure, will also appreciate the Picaroon/Rodriguez (JB) “double” today

Very nice Jon. Great leadership shown, Patrick!
PS was near Oxford as was taken to dinner at le Manoir (aux quatre saisons) in Great Milton for my birthday (even though it’s tomorrow). Quite a step up from his old shopfront in Summertown. Fabulous. Treat the wife.

Jono, agreed that Rodriguez's puzzle in the Indy was exceptional. Sadly, I didn't solve it (Picaroon was also in the Grauniad last night - US time) and read the 225 coverage this morning, which gave the secret away.

And congratulations on prevailing over strong competition. Thanks to patrich for hosting (excellent choices to clue) and for the mention. "Weird" is fine by me 🤣...Perhaps Sky in UK is unlike Fox in USA (also part of the Murdoch empire); I don't watch TV so wouldn't know.
