Easy again today although I did delay myself by putting in a wrong answer for 12A.

There is a rhyming couplet but my French pronunciation is not great.

15A and 22A were probably the best clues. Not a lot of stand outs though in my opinion.

Thanks to Everyman.

8D was pretty good as well but since it was my 2nd to last one in (which corrected 12A) I overlooked it.

Thanks to Everyman, mostly easy but the last few clues were stubborn.
FOI 1, LOI 12 ("wanting" confused me).
We definitely have a proper rhyming pair this week, some recent ones have been dubious.
21 took the longest time to parse because of a cunning (IMO) misdirect.
Co-COD 14 and 24. Also liked 21, 7, 11 and 10. Some fairly easy clues were well-constructed with nice surfaces.

Good day all. FOI 1a. LOI 14d. Found
Some of these trickier than should have been the case. But one week after my second hip replacement prrhaps suggests the painkillers are slowing my brain cellls. COD i think hax to be 21d because I did go down the track of googling characters from novels. But I liked 15a as well. None particularly made me smile this week and few PDMs. Not bad for a start to the day. Cheers.

Morning

8d and 21d were my favourites today

I can't see where the last letter of 22a comes from

I put 12a in, and only got the PDM as writing this. So sometimes it is worth shooting from the hip :)

22a is a verb not a noun

An easy complete today but that’s no bad thing sometimes. Agree with geeker about the odd use of ‘wanting’ in 12 which started to be noticed last week if I’m not mistaken. I thought there may have been a drinks/cocktail theme (in the clues at least) with Triple Sec, Old-fashioned and Eggnog but I don’t think 3 is enough to be classed as a theme.

Just noticed that use of ‘wanting’ in 22 as well!
