Can almost but not quite parse these two.

49a Trades are pending in endless glut (9)
A: Exchanges?
Endless glut is exces(s), but 'pending' does not equate with hang, surely we need the participle, hanging.

3d Anodyne wavering was vexing (7)
A: Annoyed?
Similar problem, if vexing is the definition don’t we need ‘annoying’ as the answer?

“Are pending” (present tense), hang
“Was vexing” (past tense), annoyed
