aristo @50, do you mean mattrom @35, rather than @25, which is one of jono’s?

One set of votes to come. Given the voting so far, it probably won’t affect the outcome, but I will wait until the deadline for good order.

One voter still outstanding, but time is up. Assuming that person was not going to give all 6 votes to one competing clue, then the overall result will not be affected. Thank you everyone for a very entertaining contest, which produced a wide range of terrific clues, from some very simple but neat two-word double defs., via lots of musical references, to some wonderfully contrived educational offerings (spike’s ‘immortal jellyfish’, take a bow!).

And so to the scores: just outside the medals with 6 votes was jono @25; 3rd on 7 votes was paul @7; 2nd with 8 votes was mattrom @35. However, the clear winner, with 14 votes, was bigblind’s simple but very effective @16, with its satisfyingly smooth surface:

Darwin's discovery, after start of research, caused this in biology? (10)

I happen to live in the town where Darwin grew up (Shrewsbury), so I am very happy to be able to announce this victory for evolution over revolution. Gefeliciteerd, bigblind! Here are your well-deserved prizes:

… the French version?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUTlE90j7n8

Thanks, everyone.
