Thanks to Chalicea for a puzzle that, as Malone says, is on the gentler side but still fun, nonetheless. Plus, it's been quite an eye-opener to learn about something I've lived next to for over half my life!

The answers to both these are clear but the parsings elude me...

10a - Father no longer obese in regressive primarily abdominal medical condition (6)

2d - Rustic British belief system in political philosophy (7)

I haven't seen the puzzle but I think 10 is father minus a word for obese, + reverse IN + A and in 2, it's a 3-letter word for rustic + B + a word for belief system (often used as a suffix)

Thank you, Chalicea. Well up to your usual high standard - and, as ever, ambiguity free, There was a rather good novel (a debut, I think) about 1a, with that as its title, a few years ago. [Trigger warning: contains scenes of self harm.]

Very enjoyable. There was a question about the theme on a repeat episode of 'The Chase' on Challenge TV this morning.
