1d M&S stocks European rubbers. Ans was given elsewhere as masseurs (people who rub) and parsed as "MAS.S + S (naked in clue) contain EUR[opean]."
I can see that M&S is MAS but where do the two S's come from and what is meant by (naked in clue).

I think it might be ...

M= MASS (as in E=MC2) + EUR(opean) + S from the clue.

1d s (tock) s = stocks naked

... so the M&S stock/contain the EUR(opean)

… I think naked in clue just means it’s taken directly from the clue, not an expression I’ve come across

Okay, thanks Jono, although I'm still baffled as to how the blogger thought that "stocks" = SS - why? and where would the containment indicator be, or is it a 'super' stocks that's all purpose?

The clue was definitely "M&S stocks European rubbers" . No mention of naked.
The parsing was indeed from fifteensquared but wasn't sure if it was permitted to refer to it.

Mass eur s works for me but still can't see where the blogger got "naked in clue" from . Maybe they are just wrong.
