Hi stuck on 3 clues in the cryptic crossword!would absolutely love if someone could help me out...here they are!

16a. A beak's weapon (4 letters)
17d..Being about the chap,a ruler.. (6 letters)
8d.. A principal type sickens for such a money-spinning choice (5,2,7)

heads or tails - is a better fit to the clue -but the number of letters you give is wrong.
