Almost completed this one - I have a full grid, the theme and the cells highlighted OK but I only have 11 of the 12 extra words, having failed to parse some of the clues.

Two of my unparsed clues contain a word which could fit the bill, so can anyone tell me if either 8D or 34D contain an extra word?

I didn’t have an extra word in either. Mine were split evenly between the across and down clues, if it’s any help. Which of the three words are you missing one of? First, second or third?

Hmm. The missing one is in the first group, and I have 5 missing words in across clues and 6 in down

It is. Fifth word. Quantity of paper around two-letter word for sex, all reversed is the wordplay. First two words the definition

I also only have 11 extras. Have 3 U s in 16, 29, 38. Could someone let me know where the 4th is?

Smellyharry, mine are in 16a, 22d, 30d, 38d. In 4d, sourdough is an example of bread, uncovered, and the last four letters mean “in case”

Sorry, meant 30 not 29. I'd missed 22 for some reason. Got fixated on sourdough being an obscure ale. Bread makes more sense, thanks.
