Hi all
I can't make sense of the answer to the following cryptic clue:

"Maiden's attendant".

The answer is not "aide". The answer is "ride" but I just can't see why.

AIDE is correct (hidden in the word maiden)

Thank you for the response put the answer in the grid is "ride". I too thought it would be "aide" so either I'm missing something or the clue is wrong.

Could be a misprint somewhere ?
