I have the very opposite opinion to teenieleek's and other's. One map and every unclued is right there in front of you. I enjoyed this one more than some others. No ambiguities here for me and good to have an easy Spectator once in a while.

I can't find anywhere on the map that fits 39a - m?n?a?

I think 39 is munxar.

My only issue with the unclued entries is that one of them appears to be in another language, it's not the local name (but maybe the rest aren't as homogeneous as I think).

While trawling across this island where the names seem to have been devised by random handfuls from the Scrabble bag, I was startled to come across Billingshurst, and then Fougasse - one of the greatest English draftsmen of the 20th Century.
However, despite a full grid, I still have P,K,W and Y looking for a home so I may have to concede this one to Doc.

P features in 23d
K in 31d
W in 7a
Y in 1d

Were you expecting those letters to be in the unclued gerba?

I was xwordfish, I was, i must try harder when reading the rubric.
But I am a bit underwhelmed by the news that a crossword with nearly 200 letters in it boasts of its pangrammaticality - I mean to say, that's almost an 8 to 1 shot.
