HaHa, Dorrien! With few anagrams, I actually thought there may not be many entries and I'd have an easy choice ...

Pens down, everyone. What a great response, with about 50 clues from 17 setters. Back in a while.

Thanks to everyone for your contributions. I've enjoyed them all, though please bear with me if I have somehow missed a gem.
Of many devices, there were good 'hiddens' from buddy 8, geeker 17, tyke 25, spike 34, mprs 42.
Interesting 'subbies' from buddy 10 and Fj 52, acronyms from FJ 26&31, jafo 58, and letter selections from geeker 15&16, rosalind 23, fiona 38.
I enjoyed the multiple definitions from jono 5, 6&9, dorrien 11, FJ 13, patrich 21&40, tyke 35, fiona 36, spike 55.
Other touches I liked were aristo's doublecross, dorrien's 'close' revisited, penda's willows, paul's psycho Bates, spike's Gaga saga and Big Ears, and the topicality of patrich 4, jafo's 58&60.

As equal runners-up I have buddy 8, jono 9, patrich 27&56, FJ 31.
This week's winner is jono 5 with his triple definition description of post-lockdown life;

Out to lunch for buffets and some nightlife?

Well done, jono. Here are your prizes;

Well done jono, I really liked your winning clue too.

Thanks mattrom for completing a Herculean task with such skill and good humour! Not many anagrams, maybe, but at least 5 definitions :-). Thanks also for your various mentions.

congrats jono and thanks for hosting & the honorable mention, mattrom.

Given the Herculean task the Clueless winner may face, it is worth considering limiting any one setter to (say) 3 entries? Or, since jono is in the hot seat next week, requiring all setters to submit at least 10? Alternatively one could always choose, I don't know, "dream sequence" as a phrase....

Many thanks Mattrom, pleased to prevail in such a large field, some great clues all round I thought. Enjoyed the clips.
Chris is just 3 defs , buffet in this case is a verb.

Buddy please don’t submit 10 clues next week! 😂 I tend to agree 3 or so is about right, but I wouldn’t want to constrain anyone’s creativity. Perhaps I’ll take a leaf from the book of Aristophanes next week 😉. Cheers all!
