Hello, I am stuck on these clues in today’s Sunday times crossword and hopefully some of you can enlighten me.
19a. Leave and cross a small island (4) ?O?O (looks like Gozo, with “go” for “leave” crossing Oz for Australia, and Gozo being a small island)
25a. Alcohol I bring in around May? (9) I?E?R?A?T (looks like Inebriant but I can’t parse apart from it being a synonym for alcohol)
5d Young conductors, ideal cast in popular pieces (8,6) L?L?I?O? L?D?E? (Looks like Lollipop ladies, not sure about how to parse the “popular pieces” part)

ZO is one of the spellings of a cow/yak cross.
25 is a bit unfair. The "May" is "Brian", of Queen
5 LOLLIPOPS are popular peices often given as encores, anagram IDEAL insids.

ZO is a hybrid animal (cross)

bring in =NET, May = BRIAN the Queen guitarist

Chambers gives LOLLIPOP as a popular piece of oldmusic
