I hope I'm OK starting a new thread but my question isn't about this, or last, week's Listener. Since I started doing the Listener about 4 years ago, I've kept a copy of the blank grids of all the crosswords I've done. Occasionally though, it would be good to go back to earlier crosswords by particular compilers. Is there a site where one can find the blank grids for older puzzles? I'm aware of sites like Listenercrossword and Listen With Others but neither hosts the grids or the clues. I suspect the answer will be 'no' and I know that, if I were to ask for a specific grid on this forum, some kind person would almost certainly oblige.

If you're a Times subscriber, you can go back in the archives to 2001.

Your thread is fine Simond, it’s a query likely to be of interest to other Listener aficionados.

I pay 26 quid a month for The Times and, despite the view of some, think it great value. I have access to the excellent newspaper (great sports coverage) and most importantly to the Crossword Club with all that it offers. I have been revisiting old Listener puzzles, and am currently up to 2005. Hoping to get to 2010 before I pop off!

Highly recommend taking a subscription.

......and there are several weekly/monthly prize puzzles which give a chance to recoup some of the outlay. I have won quite a few £20 Mephisto prizes and even, oh joy of joys, £100 for a recent monthly puzzle.
