I find most of them are like that. Not being in Chambers (as far as I could see) with 24d. didn't help, either.

If any one still has this, I'd love a tip on the 10 letter 'Aloof sovereign' one.
And 20d, glowing regions?

Aloof ... - 8 letter "sovereign" as in 'relating to empire' but with the "one" replaced by 3 letter "offspring" - definition is "aloof".

Glowing ... - 3 letter "my" as an exclamation + 3 letter 2undivided" around single letter "answer" - definition is "glowing regions.
