Stuck on last one in:

1a "Jet following unseats Frenchman in spectacular rise" (8)

?O?N?A?N Can only see FOUNTAIN or MOUNTAIN but if so can't see the parsing for either.

Any help much appreciated

Following is F, Frenchman is M (Monsieur). Which way to swap? I think put F in instead of M, so FOUNTAIN.
