20dn: my clue reads Stokes main furnaces at last for hosts. Lots as the definition has been mentioned. I can’t see this.
I only persevered with this out of cussedness. If it’s cricket I normally recycle earlier than usual.

teenieleek - the definition is 'hosts', means the same as lots.

Sorry - Luftmensch hadn't given the clue and in my bid not to reveal to omuch, I forgot the 'hosts' (and i might even have thought it was Lots).

My beef with 20d was that never in a million years would I have thought that 'stokes' would need to be abbreviated and looked under 's'!

I too struggled with 20d, egill, but when in desperation I looked in Chambers to see whether stokes had a meaning of which I was unaware and discovered that it was the name of a CGS unit, I knew that there had to be an abbreviation for it.

Aha! So it is, will37. I'll bone up on my kinematic viscosity for the next one.

Reversed gives radios.

So, such, Id, fish, Ar(e), are briefly - making return, reversed Ra di os.
