Still missing two voters, so I will extend to 9.30.

Thanks to everyone who entered. An array of excellent clues to choose from, and, with the ‘one vote’ format, from the comments people clearly found it particularly difficult to plump for just one. However, we do have a decision. In second place with 3 votes each, chrise @2 and mattrom @35, but pipping them both with 4 votes, with his exquisite use of the first person, is jono @8.

Well done, jono! Although I imagine we would all prefer to follow the path of truth and light, I’m afraid that your prizes are suffused with deceit (or rather deception) and lies! Enjoy … and I hope the links work.
