Thanks once again syzygy & sunray. Not the most difficult with the (12)s & (7)s fixing the grid but there are some tremendous clue surfaces. I particularly like what becomes 1a (even if not Ximenean), 4d, 8d & 28d*.

Maltby has some jigsaw formats. Solve the clues & find where to put the answers. I like those as they have a bit more edge.
