Commas seemed to bugger that up though, sorry! Just paste it in should work, or find the clickable link...

I'm still not seeing the parsing of 1d. I know it's based around a homophone of "Natalie" but the only word I can is 'natal(y)' which doesn't seem to bear any relation to "wood" - what am I missing?

There's an old American slang phrase "n****ly clad".

Yeah, see my post 37 in this thread when I grokked it. Still probably the weakest clue of this otherwise excellent puzzle I thought

Still not seeing it Geeker and Google is showing no slang sayings under 'naturally' or 'natively' clad - I'm afraid you're going to have to spell this out for me:-)

DD - adjective for smart (second and third words); and a type of tree.

Arguably a further meaning if you look at the meaning of the word Natalie, and work out what kind of tree you might decorate - but that’s probably an interpretation too far…

Was out most of Saturday. Started this before I went and continued when I got back. In general for a Paul I found this relatively straightforward but enjoyable with some great clues. However, I am totally stuck on 17d and 21a. To the point where I'm thinking one of the other solutions is not right. I went to bed last night thinking it would all become clear in the morning but no. Any hints gratefully received.
