Thanks to everyone who contributed this week. It was good to see penda again, though his clue went astray. Such a smorgasbord of great clues hasn't made my job easy … no matter how much I'm being paid 💰

I enjoyed the 'hiddens' from geeker 28 & 31, and his 'Franglais' 22, tyke 33 and chrise 41.
There were touches I liked in; Fj's dancing ex MP 10 and 'nut's hell?' 42, aristo's 'lamb of Bethlehem' 30, mprs's 'beldam' 21, Paul's nightmare 13 and deb's hookup 23, buddy's United Nations 38.

I'm not against anagram fodder being re-used, so would count both the succinct entries from jono 2 and buddy 37 on the very long shortlist, along with;
jono 4 & 32, buddy 17 & 38, dorrien 19, mprs 21, paul 23, tyke 44.
