I'm well, thanks. Still plodding away with crosswords, still trying not to be too pedantic too often...

I just totted up how many crosswords i have submitted by email since the start of lockdown - it's ±165. So I must have saved a fortune on postage. I wonder where the money is .....
I have stopped doing the Time Jumbo as I have won it quite recently and I found completing it a chore rather than a challenge. The one I really miss is Beelzebub from the IoS, i got a large number of dictionaries from that one ...

Thanks, Gerba, interesting stuff. I have never won any of the Times crosswords, and I have been entering for decades! Well, I did win Mephisto once, a long time ago, but absolutely nothing in the ordinary cryptics or the Jumbo cryptics. I too miss Beelzebub, those were always great fun.

Yes, being able to submit by email is a godsend. For what it's worth, I won Eye 681 and decided not to compete again - it took me long enough to win, so it seemed only fair to reduce the odds. I still do the crossword to keep my brain ticking over, though!
