All votes are in but I’m having internet problems. Will post as soon as possible (I’m on my little phone right now).

Great response, some very clever devices. Quite the vote spread too, with the most being garnered by spike with fourteen for four of his clues. Our paul had ten for four of his. We have a tie for first place, between mathprof and mattrom with eight each for a single clue. Both clues are excellent, but I feel that I should give the edge to mattrom because of the three votes for her clue @8. Her winner @23 is:

I don’t know if this is technically a cold case, although I’ve seen it called that in the news; I’d probably just call it a reopened one. Whenever I pass that gate I get the creeps. What a development though, Doris’s paperboy coming forth as a witness after all these years. Everyone around here assumed that this is what had happened.
