I love 10d. I'm going to start using that.

The instructions are a bit unclear. I'm assuming that the 32 cells are X of the hero and (32-X) which have to be highlighted. Do others agree?
But if so there is another word of the verse which appears as do those making up the (32-X).

I agree the preamble could have been better written, but it’s pretty clear what needs to be highlighted

Very neat, thank you Chalicea.
Not a version we knew, but quite straightforward.
Bet BJ and KL were jealous.

Excellent puzzle. Is it possible that the third letter of the hero's name has been omitted or obscured?

Aspria. Suspect you’ve removed the wrong word

You are all doing better than me. I have knocked off the grid, have 15 words, haven't the faintest idea what to do with them. Was hoping the initially might be helpful but doesn't seem to be.

Will continue to stare and hope for inspiration.

Was hoping that would happen. Had a couple of words wrong, now spotted it.

Yes, simplesimon. The word was indeed obscured - by my own scribbles on my working version. Grrr
