Is that the easiest EV ever? It didn’t even last out my 30 minute bus journey. No complaints, it was diverting nevertheless.

Yes, a lot easier than usual but, as you say, that's no bad thing and the endgame was a delight, especially the way "the way" led down to .......

Is the 5 letter word in the phrase 'Leave'? If so, I don't see the link with the proverb.

Yes, it is, The-Bard. The three sections each show that someone has ... the last part of the proverb. It's not just one phrase.

The-Bard, thanks. I think it was slightly deceptive in that the route almost seems like a single phrase, but the preamble refers to it being separate parts. And the last word of the proverb is plural, so we get three examples....
