Hi Rosalind, to make the word ‘soup’ from the word ‘group’ you have to replace GR with S, hence “GR as S” which gives you grass and herbs as a definition 🌿

Another recent thread (I think it was a Times clue) referenced BLISS as “BL is S” and I totally copied the idea!
