Help needed on this one please:

I have P*C*, which suggests PACT but I can't see why.

PACE -capitals, Police And Criminal Evidence, controversial England and Wales legislation.
I think Pac /PAC must be the American bit, add the 'e' from the end of 'the'.

PACE Act 1984, though it's often just referred to as Pace.

I've done a tiny bit of research - PAC is an American term, for Political Action Committee.

Glad I could help, Cheetah. I'd just stuck the answer in when I did the puzzle earlier, Pace is mentioned in lots of tv dramas, detective series etc.

F?r?a?o. Must be farrago. My best guess at this is (Nigel) Farage. Without rightmost letter farag , then add ball. Farago. But answer is farrago.
Has Cyclops thought spelling was Farrage? I'm sure he has done this before .
