Cryptic Crossword set by my Teacher

INSIDE HOUSE, ADVOCATE GENERAL GETS TRIBUTE (6)
FORCE DUMPED IRON BEHIND DENSE GROVE (7)
GAUDY WITCH CAME BACK HOLDING KNIGHT UPSIDE-DOWN (6)

Please help me with these

I. Homage, tribute. Home, house, with AG, Advocate General, inside.

3. Garish, gaudy. Hag is the witch and Sir is the knight. 'Came back' means these words are reversed. Ga ris h.

Block capitals is a little bit off-putting.

What type of cryptic device have you used?

'Device'? I used my brain - the exercise involved in crossword-solving is good for us all.

If you're wanting to get better at crosswords, try solving the last one yourself. You can always come back here if you get stuck, even with some letters. This is a helpful site, but I'm not really keen on just rattling off answers .

Force loses FE, the chemical symbol for Iron, so Orc.
Hard = Dense
