Well done, jono, and thanks to you and paul for my votes.

Thanks for the challenge, tyke. I bought many Shadows records as a youngster but don't remember Bombay Duck. Looks as though Jet Harris had already moved on, unless my eyes or memory deceive me.

Cheers to tyke for the challenge, and commiserations on the football. It looks like it was a nail-biter. 🥅

Well done Jon and hope you're not mourning too badly about our (sadly predictable) lack of a win. Still, in the two-horse race England managed to come second from top but Italy only managed to come second from bottom.
Cheers Tyke. Tricky word.
Thanks for the votes Chris, Fiery, Jon, Spike, and Paul H. All very much appreciated.

Paulh

I can`t remember the Shadows playing `Bombay Duck` either! Hank Marvin inspired a generation to take up guitar playing - I think he was very much underrated.
Did you listen to Radio Luxembourg? I think Chrise is around the same age as myself - we had a conversation remembering Horace Batchelor and Keynsham - there must have been thousands of youngsters listening to RL in their bedrooms as it was the only way to hear `pop` music before the `Pirate` radio stations arrived - happy days!
