Inclined to agree with ChrisE and others, definitely at the easier end of the scale, but fun: thanks Brummie.
FOI 1a, LOI 8A after being unsure of the first three letters. Was a bit put off of by the first word of 14a, it feels too direct (maybe Chrise's quiptic?) to clue the word using the meaning of the word in the phrase.
See you all with Everyman, keep safe

The clue that gave me most pleasure on solution? 22d. A mixture of reasons. You know how they get violinists to play whilst undergoing brain surgery? Perhaps they might find us lot of interest too.

I quickly got down to only 6 left, in the south west corner, and needed a bit of help from there. Thanks to all

On the whole a fair puzzle. FOI 6ac. LOI 14. COD 16

More like an Everyman this one. But enjoyable. Found some of the definitions a tad clumsy. Good to have it done before the football. Don't really get 18d.

FOI 3d

COD I think 1a.

Hi Rocky,

I'm getting edgier and edgier as zero-hour approaches ..... 🤞😉

18d - 4 letter "just" + 3 letter "affairs" (as in 'parties') - definition is "an appeal for honesty" which, as Geeker pointed out, is not so widely known outside these shores.
