Can someone please help me with parsing 12a Stock bar with booze, not amphetamine (5). I have B ? N ? L so I think the answer is BANAL i.e. "stock" as in not unusual/original.

"Bar" gives "ban" but how does the rest work? I can see that "al" is the start of "alcohol", i.e. booze but how does losing "cohol" equate to "not amphetamine"?
