Digger carrying a piece of gold is an attractive person (6)
Is it HOOKER, if so how do you parse? HOER is a digger, but does OK mean piece of gold? Or does it have any other answer?

Is it definitely “attractive”? If it was “unattractive” I would suggest MINGER, miner carrying g (bit of gold)

yes, minger fits very well if definition is unattractive person. But the definition is attractive person only. I have a toss up between MAGNET and HOOKER. There are no cutting letters. I am unable to parse MAGNET even though AG may stand for "a bit of gold". MNET is no where near digger.

Ok, then how about CORKER? A corer could be a digger, and k for carat or karat (American spelling) is a unit of gold weight

Brilliant. CORKER seems fine and neatly fits in. Thanks for the help.

You're welcome. It's quite funny that MINGER and CORKER, which are antonyms, can both be clued identically. Interesting idea for a crossword . . .

Hi Bharat,
I think you may have confused gold and silver - Ag is silver, Au is gold. So it wouldn’t work for Magnet.
