Is anyone else missing having a Listener thread without any answers? I liked dropping in on a Saturday to see how tough / interesting / infuriating people were finding the week's offering. Helps me decide if I'm just half asleep or if it really is a tricky one!

You can have a “No Answers” thread on the Listener, providing it is headed as such.

I agreed that the Listener could continue with both threads when the policy of one thread per crossword on the first page was instigated.

I'm finding this quite a tough one. Probably 60-70% complete but I've 'hit the wall'. Slow but steady progress so far but currently stuck in NE corner. Have feasible solutions for 12a, 9d and 10d but can't quite dig out their wordplay. Often difficult to spot the extra letters. Won't go onto other thread just in case!

I'm in a very similar position. Slow but steady slog, NE corner decidedly empty. My brain doesn't seem to want to filter out the extra letters in this one. Hoping for a fun endgame that makes it all feel worthwhile!

I am making steady but slow progress as well, at least on the right side. The left side is almost completely blank. I am always at a disadvantage with the Scottish references, and there seem to be quite a few this time.
