33d - Key term of endearment in a bottle (5)

My definition is "key" and I have a 4 letter "bottle" but that means the middle letter T must equate to "term of endearment"?

I've reached the 'going round in circles' stage so help appreciated.

Identified the 3 examples. Identified several others, relating to quantum physics. Can even interchange a couple but, but..

I think I'm pretty much at the same stage as you - I've got the three main ones in the grid but can't, as yet anyway, see the others - I think I'll put it away for a while and look with fresh eyes again later.

Think I’m done, don’t fully understand the very final step and the precise meaning of the words in brackets in the preamble but think what I’ve done must be right.

Think that’s got it. Agree with Candledave though about the phrase in brackets.. everything else fits.

I think the phrase in brackets needs to be read literally in conjunction with one of the final two examples. Lovely puzzle, and as always a joy when the final grid contains real words after changes.
